Great Products, Greater Prices.

In late August of 2024, The Container Store had chosen to discontinue over 500 SKUs associated with Be Home, a luxury home decor and lifestyle brand. Based on a directive from the district director of the NY/NE (New York/New England) area, the Northshore team was tasked with highlighting this luxurious sale to shoppers, as discontinued prices dropped as low as 70% off regular price.

The Northshore team cleared off a spare 5-tier fixture cart as per the same directive from NY/NE’s district director. After filling the fixture with product taken from Be Home’s ceramic kitchenware collection, the team chose to place the cart at the front entrance of the store, in front of the shopping carriages. This would ensure that guests noticed the sale before getting settled into the store.

Carefully organized by style, the Northshore team ensured that guests would be impacted by the strong sale prices through a clean presentation of Be Home’s beautiful kitchen product line.

Even More Great Sales.

In addition to Be Home’s discontinuation, The Container Store also chose to discontinue its selection of decorative glass, ceramic, and porcelain vases. Since the sale prices similarly ranged from 50% to 70% off, the Northshore team brought up a 3-tier fixture cart and placed it directly in front of the Be Home sale fixture. The presentation provides plenty of displays organized on shelves by brand and price.

Northshore Sets the Example!

Within hours of setting the fixture carts, the district director for the NY/NE area sent photos of Northshore’s fixtures to the 12 other stores in the district, asking them to immediately follow the direction that Northshore had taken. The district director also notified the country’s regional director, who had expressed gratitude for the fixtures’ clean presentations and impact at the front of the store.

After weeks of setting the fixtures, nearly all of its products had made their way into shopping carts and into guests’ kitchen cabinets. The Northshore team had set the example for the Be Home discontinuation promotion for many stores in the company.

I could not be more proud of the work I put into this project and I am even more grateful of its impact on the company and its shoppers!
